Tomorrow we will remember him with memorial service at KBS and bury his remains. When he came to Cambodia in 2001(?) to teach kbs students for a month on his school vacation in Korea, he dreamed a dream. In the dream he saw  very big farm which was waiting urgent harvest, but found  a old lady sitting, tired and disappointed, who was only worker over there. After that he stopped  his study of doctorate course in Korea, and came immediately to Sihanoukville Cambodia as a missionary and has served the Lord, and introduced other missionaries  from Nagaland to Cambodia,  even to KBS. May God remember his work and ministry.

With Nagaland missionaries,  Cambodian pastors & congregation,  some Korean missionaries,  we remembered him on 20th.

Thank God for all the blessings of God on the funeral cum memorial service of Rev. Jonah!
Thank God that there were around 110 christians who loved and worked with him turned out today!
Though the weather was not bright all the time but His plan was great. Many Naga missionaries, co-workers of him, previous students, local church members, pastors and KBS students and teachers in KCS joined to remember his faithful service and missed the sweet memory with him.
The  message, 'the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few' was preached by Rev. Moses Hahn.
We will meet him on the day that we meet Jesus our saviour face to face. (Rev.22:4)

Rev. Sekar. Chinnaswwmy(Tribute)

Rev. Jonah was the first one to invite me to visit Cambodia in 2009, when I did not know anyone or even him at that time.
We developed our friendship since then till his departure from the world. He trusted me in a short time he invited me back in 2010 to take care of his school and language training center for a month while he was away to visit his family in Nagaland, India.
He was very tough in his appearance and communication, but was quiet soft in his heart.
His passion for the children and for the Gospel was intense, and that he invested his time in establishing a school  in Buffalo village though the village has another name, he named it Buffalo, as he found many in that village.
He had friends who were close to him from different parts of the world and through their help he developed the school.
He related well with all the children and parents and he discipled many in his own way and many were blessed through him.
I trust that those who have been as his family brought up him will fulfill his vision and bring glory to Jesus.
I and my wife express our deep condolences to Mrs. Mernla, and others who were as his family here in SV.

With much love and Prayers
Dr. Sekar and Mrs. Ammini

Dear Rev Moses and Mrs Grace, I am touched beyond words for what you have done for Jonah's memorial service in my most difficult time. I truly appreciated for all the arrangements which was very well orchestrated. I am also overwhelmed with gratitude to God for the great favor you have shown by allowing Jonah's last remains to lay in your beautiful land of KBS. Let your beatiful land KBS be occupied for God's great work and glory until Jesus return. Thank you Rev Moses for the great message for challenging all the missionaries first to repent and to rebuke the sins of the people. It was a heart touching message for me personally. Thank you for the time you took to create a memorial that honored Jonah. His memories will remain with me always and the time you took to honor him. I will remain ever grateful to you and expect to a long lasting friendship in Christ.
God bless you abundantly. In Christ Merenla.
