SraeAmbal Church

 

Pastor Sok Mono

I came to know pastor Sok Mono around year 2000. When we visited his house in SraeAmbal, we found church members gathered at his house and worshipped. We knew he and his wife went out evangelism around the village oftentimes. I saw his two children in his house and asked them to come to KBS. So they came and studied bible at KBS. Sister Sreymon finished her study, Biblical Studies, and helped her father in the ministry. Brother Seun finished Diploma of Theology in 2007, and served the Lord in SraeAmbal, later joined army, and came back to serve Macedonia church in remote Kompot and suffered much, and now serving at ChiKorleu church in SraeAmbal.

Because there was no church building for SraeAmbal church, we prayed. Rev Burdette Price of America and his team sent the offering for the building, so we bought the land near market and built wooden structure of sanctuary in 2006. It was the central location of SraeAmbal, easy to come even on foot. Around 30 members attended the services regularly and made visitations to 3 or 4 villages nearby. The members also went there together and had services in that villages. The members were much united in Lord's work. Later we found out the church property was rather small to do church activities and children ministry. Seoil church in Daegu involved in this SraeAmbal church, supported with prayer and finance. We three parties ( Seoil church, SraeAmbal church, missionary) gathered together to discuss the relocation of the church. So we sold the old church land and bought much bigger land near roadside. Seoil church gave offering for new building. So it was built in 2018. Praise the Lord,  God gave them bigger sanctuary, bigger land, easier access. We pray many souls be saved in that region.
